Most of my clients choose Package Purchases to save money, but as pain eases and calendars fill, money is left behind. Check your account to learn if you still have a prepaid session. Click here for instructions.
PLAN AHEAD! While appointments can and do reopen each week, it is best to schedule in advance. My online calendar is in real-time. Check regularly if you need an earlier appointment than my current availability. If you find and need a day-of appointment, please text me directly--my number is at the bottom of each of my webpages: (355) 385-1377. You can also use the Contact Us button on each of my webpages which will automatically email me at Rachel@CopperMountainManualTherapy.com.
***Package Sessions can be shared among family members and friends. If you are giving a session to someone else, please text me, directly. I'll need their contact information so that they can receive their own appointment reminders.
The question: How can I help? drives my annual education commitments. As a result, I have continued to specialize in order to help my clients Move, Feel, and Live Better. Now, I have
to offer:
The foundation of my services continues to be Targeted Osteopathic Manual Therapy: this is mechanical/joint/muscle/nerve/circulation/lymphatic and visceral/abdominal work. Start here if you have pain that has signaled in the same place and pattern for 4 or more days. Monthly and quarterly scheduling prevents injury and supports greatest mobility and function. Please wear soft pajama-like clothing for your appointment.
Integrated Fascial Release is my newest service for immediate and lasting results assessing both surface and deep fascia, the connective tissue between structures. Fascia can be described as the spiderweb in the box that supports all of the connections between our systems and layers. Long chronic pain creates knots and adhesions in this body-wide connective tissue.
My Myo (muscle)-fascial work is INTEGRATED as a nod to the multiple tools we'll use to free tissue for better mobility. This is direct skin therapy: Wear sports underclothing and bring 2 towels to stay comfortable and covered on the table.
Perrin Lymphatic Massage This powerful tool addresses the deep mega-lymphatics that can be clogged and overloaded. Everywhere we have arteries and veins, we have lymphatic tubes that are intended to clean up the capillary beds.
This direct-tissue, warm-oil massage addresses and reverses symptoms common to Long Covid, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia, as well as Lipedema and Lymphedema. Be prepared with 2 towels and 2 pillows. To learn more, read my Blogs on this subject or click here.
Cranial Sacral Therapy first assures that all of your major diaphragms of left-right/up-down movement are working together. The hips are tested and realigned to allow free sacral function. Then, the head is the crowning aspect of treatment, ensuring the cranial plates are freely pumping cerebral spinal fluid. Intraoral work may be included in your session. Please wear soft pajama-like clothing for this appointment.
What's Next? Taking responsibility today for the freedoms that I want for tomorrow is my priority. I truly believe that my 60s can be healthier than my 40s and 50s. My own experience of receiving a consistent, combination of these treatments is proof of that.
For more than a decade from many sources, I have been taught that health is based 80% on nutrition and 20% on exercise. Dr. Fuhrman's work has challenged my thinking and my eating. Change is not comfortable--withdrawal symptoms are real--but, getting comfortable with discomfort is the path forward to better movement, living, and health. Here's a few of my favorite challenges to my former thinking, training, and practice.
The drive for addiction eating is felt in the head and the stomach. Hunger is felt in the throat. We burn the most fat in the last hour between meals. Snacking between meals stops this healthy benefit when we are feeling hunger between meals.
While I knew that healthy fats feed the brain, the best fat source is through nuts and seeds. 97% of our animal fat and oils is stored like sugary drinks--straight from the stomach to the fat cells. Biopsies can identify the fat I've built up on my hips and stomach by the source--olive, avocado or coconut oil, cow, chicken, or pig. Only 3% of the fats we eat travels to the intestine as a nutrition and energy source.
Protein and fats are more accessible to our digestive tract through green vegetables than meat, and the nutrients of green vegetables are best unlocked with fats from nuts and seeds.
Read Fuhrman's book and learn for yourself. His meta-research covers decades and international studies. Now that I'm one of the oldest branches of my family tree, I want to celebrate the view rather than fear decay. Eating nutrient dense foods protects life from the inside.
Schedule your own next tune-up and expect to LIVE BETTER! Cheers! Rachel
