Craniosacral Therapy in the Southwest Valley of Salt Lake County

All of CMMT's services combine beautifully with the specialized Cranial Sacral Therapy that targets the Nervous System. Rebalancing the Central Nervous System can interrupt fight and flight and upset sleep, as well as improve cognition, digestion and all body functions. Like Integrated Fascial Therapy or Myofascial Release (MFR), Craniosacral work targets the body-wide web of tissues and joints affecting better fluid flow, overall health, mobility, and function.

Rachel is uniquely trained in Craniosacral therapy by four professional organizations who have integrated all body systems into this work. After the body is stacked correctly for movement with joint and fluid function, improved function of the cranial bones and nervous system can be maintained by the whole. Client outcomes are consequently better.

Craniosacral work ensures that the joints of the skull as well as the hips work to relieve pain and dysfunction.

WHO THIS IS FOR:

Infants who struggled during the birthing process or demonstrate limited range of motion in their head or body movement respond readily to this work. Rebalancing the nervous system for better recovery and sleep benefits all ages. Clients who have suffered accidents or concussions and long-term stress levels will also benefit from this treatment. Stress from migraines or the neck and jaw can also be relieved with this treatment.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A SESSION:

Clients come in comfortable clothing--pajama-type or loose-fitting clothes are best. Rachel will confirm that the body is aligned for fluid movement before the relationships between the movement of Craniosacral Fluid from head to hips/sacrum are targeted. Rachel's personal experience with this work is described as "the nap I never took." This work opens the door to deep rest and restoration.

RECOMMENDED CADENCE

Limited range of motion among the body joints can limit fluid movement. Clients who struggle with stress levels, head trauma, chronic headache/migraine pain or learning disabilities can also benefit from this refocusing work. The body needs time to assimilate and use the work and changes of the nervous system as range of motion and fluid flow are improved. Spacing appointments at least 7-10 days apart for acute situations is best.

READ UPLEDGER INSTITUTE'S DESCRIPTION OF CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY.

"Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method that engages the CranioSacral System—a unified, whole-being system reflecting the integration of physical structures, physiological rhythms, and energetic processes. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to such somatic conditions as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety.

"By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms. LEARN FROM CLIENT EXPERIENCE

"I’m incredibly grateful for the care I’ve received at Copper Mountain Manual Therapy. I initially came in for sciatic pain that had been affecting my lower back and leg, making everyday activities uncomfortable. Her work has made a huge difference for me.

But what’s been even more impactful is the improvement in my sleep. I’ve struggled with stress-related sleep issues for years, long before the sciatic pain began. Since starting treatment, I’ve noticed that I’m sleeping more deeply and waking up feeling more rested. It’s been a real shift in both my physical and mental well-being.

She brings a thoughtful, intuitive approach to every session, and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping her clients feel better. I highly recommend her to anyone dealing with pain, stress, or just looking for a better quality of life," Google Review, Leslie Titus Bryant
